Night work at Fredericksburg.
Sold the house!
As long as it remains active here is a link to the photos taken of our house as it was staged, the week before we put it on the market. We were astounded by how well these turned out. When the house sold (in one day), we began to realize that we would really miss it. But for this pair of Army/Air Force brats, it was time to turn the page and move on. 15 years is the longest either of us ever stayed in one place, followed by 10 years in our previous house. Now we will rent a nice little condo in Lakeway and enjoy zero yard maintenance.
Our good friends, Jim and Brenda at The Robillard Group, were our realtors. If you want to sell your house, give 'em a call. If you just want your house for sale, call someone else.
In August we flew Southwest into Denver and stayed in a hotel in Fort Collins. It turned out to be right across the street from the AMD office. The fact that there is an office there means that we could go to Colorodo during the bad part of the year in Texas, and I can still work at the office!
Durango is very nice and we like to visit. But I like northern Colorado a bit better. We visited Estes Park and drove up Poudre Canyon road. It was spectacular.
It was hot as hell in Austin, but we managed to get up to altitude into a snow flurry. I love it!
Keeping to the aviation theme, I was able to sneak in a visit to KFNL to check out an RV-3 kit. I'm not really in the market, but it's always good to talk with forum personalities about RVs.
If you're looking for an RV-3 kit, this is, as advertised, a new-in-box RV-3B kit, and comes with a few jigs. The jigs have assembled a number of storied RV-3s.
