Spring storm, 2015

We had a sudden, somewhat unexpected hail storm last night in Lakeway. It macerated vegetation and birds in the area. I went for a bike ride and got some pictures of the damage. John and Suanne's garden didn't fare very well. I saw a few bird wings on the ground, and in one case a poor bird just sitting on the road in shock. The buzzards and peregrines were out, taking advantage of the bounty. Here's a link to the album, I'll post more individual pictures later.

Long time, no fly.

So here it is more than a month since I last flew 77WE, and still no time with the instructor to gauge progress. Rust is beginning to be a real problem. But there is a story....
